Every year I go through my notebook where I summarize what I’ve read and start adding titles to the “to-read” list. I was very happy this year to have read 52 books, squeezing in my #bookaweek goal for 2022, and completely abusing my Halifax Public Library card. Three came in after Christmas, so hitting this arbitrary goal wasn’t pretty.
Top books of the year for me were:
- Power and Prediction – Agrawal, Gans, Goldfarb
- The End of the World is Just the Beginning: Mapping the Collapse of Globalization – Zeinan
- Together – Vivek Murthy
- Unselfie – Michele Borba
- Our Lady of the Artilects – Andrew Gillsmith
- Rule of the Robots – Martin Ford
- Art of Change Management Leadership – Cheryl Cran
- Stillborn God – Mark Lilla
- Field Guide to Lies: Critical Thinking in the Information Age – Daniel Levitin
- Antifragile – Nassim Taleb
- The Splendid and the Vile – Erik Larson
- The CS Lewis box set I absolutely smashed
With honourable mentions to:
- Ego is the enemy
- Mistakes were made
- Generation X
- Purpose of University
- Nothing Less then Great
- Trinity
- Story Brand
- Lean Product Playbook
- Predictable Irrational
- Priceless: Myth of Fair Value
